XP100 Finder

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about XP100, poWer100, and how this finder works.

Is XP100 truly ethanol-free?

Yes. Autocar India's ASTM D4815 gas chromatography test confirmed XP100 contains less than 0.2% ethanol — the only fuel in India that qualifies as effectively ethanol-free (E0).

Can I use XP100 or poWer100 in any vehicle?

Yes. The higher octane rating won't harm engines tuned for lower-octane fuel. The full benefit — better protection against ethanol damage and higher performance — is realised in high-compression and performance engines, but any petrol vehicle can run on it safely.

Why isn't XP100 available everywhere?

XP100 is a niche, low-volume product. Ethanol blending happens at large depots and is impractical to manage for small batches of 100-octane fuel — which is also part of why it stays ethanol-free.

What about HPCL poWer100?

poWer100 is also confirmed ethanol-free by the same Autocar India lab test. This finder includes all 17 HPCL poWer100 outlets across India, sourced via an RTI response from HPCL in July 2026, marked with a poWer100 badge.

Which vehicles are most affected by E20 ethanol-blended petrol?

BS3 and older vehicles, BS4 vehicles made before April 2023, carbureted engines, high-performance and imported vehicles, classic and vintage vehicles, and any vehicle stored for long periods are most at risk. See the E20 Ethanol Guide for details.

How do I report station availability?

Open a station's card, tap Navigate to get directions, and you'll be prompted to report whether XP100/poWer100 was available, out of stock, or not offered at that outlet. Reports are limited to one per device per station every 24 hours to keep data honest.

How accurate is the station data?

Station locations come from IOCL's published outlet list and an RTI response from HPCL, geocoded individually. Availability status is crowd-sourced from user reports and reflects what people have recently found at each outlet — it isn't a live feed from the oil companies.

Is this site affiliated with IOCL or HPCL?

No. XP100 Finder is an independent, free community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Indian Oil Corporation Limited or Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

What if a listed station no longer sells XP100 or poWer100?

Outlets do occasionally stop stocking these fuels or start again. Report what you find via the Navigate button, and vote on the station's current status — that's how the listing stays useful for everyone.

How often is the station list updated?

The base list is updated when new official data becomes available (IOCL updates or RTI responses). Availability status updates continuously as users report it.
